2005    

First Globaltica started on 14th October 2005 and took place in “Ucho” Club in Gdynia. Members of two Gdynia based foundations: “Liberty” and “Ucho” organized an extraordinary, multilevel and multicultural event. During two days of the festival, on Globaltica stage performed such artists as Yat Kha from Tuva Republic, Kwartet Jorgi from Poland, Mahmud Fadl & Delta (Egypt/Nubia) and Dobranotch from Russia.

Globaltica, from the beginning on is not only the music festival. For a couple of days the space of whole city gives you a view of the world of cultures from around the world. In 2005 there was an exhibition of artists from Tanzania, Iran and USA. Linking to the main idea of the festival, it presented works of artists who create art inspired by traditional culture in contemporary forms, such as collage, poster or advert.
